Description
A fully guided tour leading to and from the European HOG Rally in Cascais, Portugal which runs from 18 to 21 June 2026.
Cascais is a firm favourite to host the European HOG Rally, this being the 3rd time the city is hosting the Rally. Building on the successful 2025 Rally in Croatia, Cascais is preparing to welcome 30,000 attendees which promises 4 days packed with live concerts, exhibitions, test rides, a wide range of food and beverage outlets and a multitude of merchandise for sale to suit all tastes.
Starting at Bilbao Ferry Port, our route to Cascais with the route to and from Cascais with a night in Salamanca. Our return journey once again stops in Salamanca on the Sunday night with Monday night spent together in Bilbao before we disperse to your onward plans.
With stunning coastal and mountain routes around Cascais, the area promises beautiful ride-outs each day and places to explore away from the Rally itself. Each day of the Rally we arrange a ride-out to explore the local area, returning by 3pm, leaving plenty of time to go to the Rally each day. These ride-outs are entirely optional, leaving you to go early to the Beach and Rally, lie in and relax or explore.
the tour price does not include the price of a Ferry ticket. We are able to arrange ferry tickets for you should you wish at cost.

Itinerary
Before the Tour begins
The Tours starts at 8am at the Ferry Port in Bilbao, Spain. Whilst not included in the price of the tour, we can assist to arrange your ferry crossings between the UK (Portsmouth to Bilbao) and return if you wish at cost.

Day 1 (Tuesday 16 June)
The Tour starts as we meet up at Bilbao Ferry Port and head South to Salamanca. Our route is mostly Autoroute as we have to cover ground to reach Cascais on Day 2.
Overnight we're staying in Salamanca, where we have a beautiful hotel to stay and we'll all dine together, the meal paid by us.

Day 2 (Wednesday 17 June)
Setting off this morning we continue our journey South West to Cascais. Our hotel is 10 miles outside Cascais in Oeiras, allowing you to easily reach the Rally and also easily find and explore the extraordinary countryside.

Day 3 (Thursday 18 June)
The first day of the European HOG Rally!! The Rally itself has all the entertainment to cater for every taste in music, events, food and bars.
If you wish there is a short ride-out to explore the local countryside, crossing the awesome bridges that span the mouth of the River Tagus

Day 4 (Friday 19 June)
Day 2 of the HOG Rally! Another day relaxing, enjoying the Rally at your leisure.
In addition to the rally, we have an optional ride-out planned to explore some of the most famous surfing beaches in Portugal. Nazare is 90 miles up the coast and is boasts the biggest surfing waves in the world, due to a huge submarine canyon trench that channels the surf.

Day 5 (Saturday 20 June)
Probably the highlight of the Rally with live music, events and more. An evening not to be missed.
If you wish, we have planned a short tour of some of the local amazing medieval palaces, following the most amazing routes through beautiful countryside.

Day 6 (Sunday 21 June)
This morning we depart the Rally, setting off North to return to Salamanca. This evening everyone is free to explore Salamanca at their leisure

Day 7 (Monday 22 June)
Departing Salamanca we head back to Bilbao for the evening. As it's our last evening together, we have planned to dine together so we can swap stories of the extraordinary last week and the memories of the HOG Rally.

Day 8 (Tuesday 23 June)
Our tour sadly ends as we check out of the hotel and head for the ferry port.

Tour Information
Tour Size: Our group sizes normally range from 8 to 14 motorcycles.
Typical day timings: Each day, we normally start riding at 8.30am and aim to be at our day's destination by 5-6pm having covered in the region of 160-200 miles. We try to avoid motorways wherever possible and only use these when there is no real alternative or where making progress gets us to better roads.
Hotels: We use good quality hotels, normally 3 and 4 Star
Wet weather programme: As we have pre-booked hotels and a schedule to stick to, we ride in all weathers. During any exceptionally inclement weather, we will pull over for short periods. IF the weather is truly biblical we may turn off the scenic routes and onto motorways. We could experience a range of different types of weather, so bring waterproofs, just in case.
Payments: a deposit secures your place on a tour, with the balance to be paid in equal payments before the tour starts. If you prefer, you can pay the balance of the cost of the tour earlier than this.
