Riding Laws in Europe
Surprisingly, EU laws on motorcycle protective clothing, equipment and driving laws differ by Country in Europe. This Guide covers each requirement for Clothing, Equipment and Riding by country. Headline minimum answer is: Wear a certified helmet, long-sleeve jacket, long trousers and boots, carrying a hi-vis vest.

Essential Tool Kit
Your Essential Tool Kit should be a 'fit and forget' kit on on your motorcycle, permanently packed away for emergencies. This is a guide that may help or guide you, simply add/ subtract as suits you and your bike. Please practice the basics (jump start, change a bulb, check tyre pressures etc) in the dark - train hard, ride easy!

EU Helmet Requirements
In the UK and EU all Motorcycle Helmets must meet ECE 22.05 or 22.06, which means any Helmet purchased in UK complies throughout EU. However, France has also introduced Helmet Reflectors into law. This article looks into this requirement and why you do not need to retroactively fit reflectors to ride in France.

Autoroute Toll Tag
For France and/or Spain & Portugal
You may wish to purchase an Autoroute Toll Tag for Toll Roads in France (Liber-T tag) and/or a tag for Spain & Portugal (VIA-T tag). These tags may also used on any similar vehicle to allow you to pass through tolls without stopping. You can purchase and subscribe for a Tag using the link below.

EU Entry Exit System (EES)
1. The EU Entry Exit System (EES) is now live for all entries into EU for UK Passport holders.
2. It is claimed to take no longer than 2 minutes to complete. You are required to have your Passport, face & fingerprints scanned on first Registration. All subsequent entries to EU require Passport and Face to be scanned.
