Description
Belgium's Ardennes is one of the most beautiful destinations to discover, with picturesque towns and wonderful sights blending history, beautiful countryside and stunning routes to explore.
Our route takes in the extraordinary locations of Dinant, nestled on the banks of the river with its dramatic fortress perched on on the cliffs above. Spa is famous for its natural springs and racing circuit, and Bouillon is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Belgium.
Taking the Eurotunnel from Folkestone to Calais, we head first to Dinant for our first night. From here we head to Bouillon as we then turn East to Luxembourg. On Days 3 and 4 we're in the same hotel, allowing an optional ride day to either rest, recharge and recouperate or ride a beautiful circuit in Luxembourg. Day 5 we head North to Spa, where as a particular highlight we ride a lap of the Spa Francorchamps Circuit before heading on to our hotel. Friday we head to the western edge of the Ardennes before turning for home on Saturday. We aim to be back in the UK by 6pm that day.
Our average riding distance is 150 miles per day, riding at a relaxed pace to enjoy the scenery.
Each night our hotels are either 3* or 4* hotels, some with Spas, saunas and steam rooms to truly let you relax and enjoy this amazing tour.

Itinerary
Day 1 (Sunday 13 June)
Our day starts at Folkestone, where we meet just outside LeShuttle terminal so we can ride to the Terminal together as a group. Our Train disembarks at Calais mid morning, from where we ride to Dinant for the evening, a beautiful medieval town with stunning castle and the gateway to the Ardennes.
We'll dine together this evening, the meal paid for by us.
Miles: 174 Meals included: Dinner Overnight: Dinant
Day 2 (Monday 14 June)
This morning we head south from Dinant taking a beautiful scenic route from Dinant to Bouillon. We follow the River Meuse before heading to the beautiful countryside route, pausing to take in the views. Bouillon is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Belgium with its medieval castle, houses and buildings filled with character. Enjoying lunch above Bouillon with stunning panoramic views we ride on through the forests and countryside taking a scenic route to our hotel for the evening
Miles: 153 Meals included: Breakfast Overnight: Remilly-Aillicourt
Day 3 (Tuesday 15 June)
A slightly shorter riding day as we head East into Luxembourg. This morning we cross from France to Belgium to Luxembourg, fortunately with nothing more than country marker signs. Staying away from the national roads we ride through beautiful sweeping roads through the countryside, in and out of shaded forests with dappled sunlight on the tarmac. An easier ride as we head for our hotel for the next 2 nights, so we can take advantage of the hotel spa.
Miles: 134 Meals included: Breakfast Overnight: Bourscheid
Day 4 (Wednesday 16 June)
Today is an optional rest day. We're staying at the same 4* hotel for a 2nd night, so there is no need to pack the bikes or check out. If you wish you can rest, relax and recharge, explore the beautiful countryside and the hotel spa and grounds, or you can join a wonderful ride which includes the medievel towns of Vianden, Clervaux, Wiltz, Bourscheid and Echternach, the oldest city of Luxembourg. We'll find waterfalls, rock formations, steep gorges en route.
Miles: 106 Meals included: Breakfast Overnight: Bourscheid
Day 5 (Thursday 17 August)
Leaving Bourscheid we head North to Spa. As we're here we'll visit the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit and have lunch at the circuit before continuing on to our hotel for the evening. We may have (at time of writing I'm booking this now) the opportunity to ride the circuit at a far-less-than-racing speed which should keep our inner child very happy!
Miles: 148 Meals included: Breakfast, Spa-Francorchamps Circuit Overnight: Durbuy
Day 6 (Friday 18 June)
As the crow flies our next destination is less than 50 miles so we could be there (by motorway) in time for coffee, which would be very dull. Instead we're continuint to find the most beautiful scening roads through the Ardennes countryside as we flow through sweeping roads, initially heading North before turning South as we head for our final hotel for the evening.
Miles: 146 Meals included: Breakfast Overnight: Libramont
Day 7 (Saturday 19 June)

This morning we head West as we make our way back to Calais and the Eurotunnel. We're keeping away from the autoroutes to still enjoy our last day riding through the French countryside that sweeps past Cambrai and Arras, where we'll stop for lunch, as we make our way to Calais and the train home.
The tour ends as we pass through Border Control at Folkestone.

Tour Information
Tour size: Our group sizes normally range from 8 to 14 motorcycles.
typical day timings: Each day, we normally start riding at 8.30am and aim to be at our hotel by 5-6pm having covered in the region of 100 miles. We try to avoid motorways wherever possible and only use these when there is no real alternative or where making progress gets us to better roads.
Hotels: Riding to and from the Loire Valley we'll use a good quality 3 Star hotel. Whilst staying in the Loire Valley, we're booked into a lovely 4 Star hotel. Once in the Loire Valley, we're staying in the same hotel with daily rides to explore the area.
Wet weather programme: This tour is unique as we're based in 2 hotels whilst in the Loire Valley. We do have dry and wet weather programme each day regarding each day's destination. During any exceptionally inclement weather, we will pull over for short periods. If the weather is truly biblical we may turn off the scenic routes and onto motorways. We could experience a range of different types of weather, so bring waterproofs, just in case.
Payments: a deposit secures your place on the tour, with the balance to be paid in four equal payments before the tour starts. If you prefer, you can pay the balance of the cost of the tour earlier than this.
Ride Rating: All our tours are rated for skill/difficulty; this tour is rated BLUE. Please see our FAQ for more detailed explanation on our Ride Rating. If you are at all unsure if your riding ability suits this tour, please reach out to us and we will be happy to advise.
