Description

A fully-guided 4 day tour finding the Battles that forged Great Britain.

This tour starts in Folkestone early on Friday morning where we meet up as a group a short distance from the Eurotunnel entrance and we take the Eurotunnel Train together. Over the course of the 4 days we will find the World War 1 battles of the Somme 1916 and Ypres (1914-1918) before going back in time to the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815. Finally, before returning home we find the Dunkirk Evacuation of Operation Dynamo in 1939.

The hotel we choose is located in the middle of these battlers, with safe parking and good food found in several restaurants in the local town. The tour price includes the Eurotunnel crossings, hotels, entry to all museums and dinner on the first night.

We aim to be back in the UK by 6 pm on the Monday evening, where the tour concludes as we disembark the train at Folkstone.

Day 3 (Sunday 30 May)

Today we find the First World War battles of the Somme and Ypres, which had various offences from 1915 to 1918. We also find the Cambrai Tank Museum to find the original MkIV tank, the original 'universal' tank, so named as a security deception (as water tanks for Russia).
